He then completed his residency training in general surgery through the Ochsner Medical Foundation, with health centers around the New Orleans area, and in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at Tulane University Medical Center. During his residency at Tulane University, Dr. Duplechain had the distinctive privilege to observe world famous surgeons like Dr. Jack Anderson and Dr. Calvin Johnson. Dr. Duplechain also directs an annual AACS-certified fellowship training program, in which he offers hands-on cosmetic surgery training to surgeons specializing in cosmetic surgery after their residency.
In the past, he has served as chairman for the American Society of Cosmetic Laser Surgery and has held various leadership roles, including secretary and treasurer, for the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery.
